Business Assurance Manager needed Epsom, Surrey paying £283 per day PAYE Ref: 420413
This is working full time hours on a temporary basis
Support the completion of the Annual Governance Statement
Contract manage the internal audit contract and oversee the annual audit cycle contained within the annual audit plan, reporting on audits and monitoring the implementation of internal audit recommendations.
Support the co-ordination of the Client’s approach to the national fraud initiative and develop and update the arrangements for dealing with fraud and corruption, providing support as required by the Chief Finance Officer.
Provide scrutiny advice and support to the Audit, Crime & Disorder and Scrutiny Committee
Project manage scrutiny reviews, with responsibility for researching topics, collating, consulting and analysing data.
Produce succinct reports based on stakeholders needs
Provide an annual report for the Audit, Crime & Disorder and Scrutiny Committee.
Embed risk management, updating the Leadership Risk Register and the Service Risk Register
To proactively work with the Heads of Service and managers to support corporate projects as required ensuring projects are delivered. Particular support to be provided to the development of the Corporate Plan and the service planning process
Support the delivery of training on project management and contract management and assist in reviewing the project management toolkit
Review the policy framework to ensure that it reflects requirements and is up to date
Support the work of the Chair of the Corporate Health & Safety Group.
Contribute to the work of the Corporate Health & Safety Group to develop and implement health and safety processes and procedures, monitor compliance with health & safety requirements and ensure the health and safety policies, guides and documentation are up to date
Analyse and report on external initiatives and consultations and on the implications of legislative changes; being proactive in providing updates
To manage the operational work of part of the Policy, Performance and Governance Team covering key areas of assurance – health & safety, projects, research (including consultation and engagement), policy and performance management
Provide line management to the Research, Consultation & Information Analyst and the Corporate Health & Safety Officer
Provide support to the Policy, Performance and Governance Team should the Emergency Plans or Business Continuity Plans be activated
