Assistant to Coroner’s Court Manager Full Time Temporary

Assistant to Coroner’s Court Manager needed in Westminster, £21.31ph PAYE – Reference: RQ1408730

• Assist with court operations, legal, IT, financial, and administrative duties related to death investigations.
• Support the timely and effective handling of death referrals, investigations, and inquests.
• Manage complex and sensitive cases alongside the Coroner’s Court Manager.
• Liaise with hospitals and mortuaries to ensure timely post-mortem procedures and capacity management.
• Assist in preparing and submitting returns to the Chief Coroner or Lord Chancellor.
• Prepare case papers, summarise important facts, liaise with solicitors and witnesses, and attend hearings.
• Maintain and oversee IT systems, serving as a super user for the case management system.
• Help manage service contracts and administrative tasks including correspondence and data entry.
• Assist in the management of the court diary, jury inquests, and provide support during hearings.
• Offer guidance and updates to bereaved families and facilitate post-inquest processes.

This is a Full time role on a temporary contract basis.
