Assistant Director of Finance needed in North London Paying  £317.79 per day ref 1446176

Full time hours on a temporary basis 

This role involves developing and implementing financial strategies to ensure sustainability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead financial strategy development and implementation.

• Manage a portfolio of services, ensuring compliance with regulations.

• Develop and coordinate the corporate financial framework.

• Contribute to organizational strategies and objectives.

• Collaborate with members, directors, and stakeholders.

• Oversee the production of the statement of accounts.

• Enhance change capability and encourage innovation.

• Provide financial advice and guidance to management teams.

• Ensure effective Audit and Risk Management functions.

Role Specific Responsibilities:

• Lead the budget setting process.

• Ensure robust financial systems and policies.

• Secure an unmodified audit opinion.

Financial Responsibilities:

• Support statutory financial responsibilities.

• Deliver efficient accountancy and treasury management services.

• Monitor compliance with legislation and policies.

• Forecast income and expenditure.

• Liaise with internal and external audits.

• Ensure value for money and mitigate risks.

Strategy and Policy Development:

• Lead financial strategy development.

• Support implementation of strategic plans.

• Shape policy guidelines for the Finance service.

• Develop service and improvement plans.
